No it is Not a DTM!!!

It is one of the original Type 1 style fan shrouds for a T4.
(It was designed to look like a 911 Shroud using a T1 Fan & Alt)
Ive always heard that they do not cool really well.

I thought it looked bizarre. Interesting concept though, making a Porsche style cooling fan based around a T1 set up. Why didn't it cool well? Same reasons as the regular 911 setup?

What's the deal with this guy anyway (type4parts.com). I've read some troubling stuff over on Pelican forums, but have read good stuff over at STF. The porsche guys think he's selling old overpriced junk. I'd tend to agree based on this particular product. However, I've recieved a few PM's from guys on STF when I asked about his rebuild kit on eBay that were strongly endorsing him. What's up with that? He does seem overpriced.

Nothing cooled worse in my tests!

There is no substitute for the only DTM!

The guy that owns that site likes to assume alias names and thrash others on forums while trying to hide- He got busted on the STF and was revealed..

Look at the site section where he explains why to build a type 4: it has so many incorrect statements, that it gets annoying to read after already a quarter of the page...
It looks like he got a lot of his 'wisdom' from the STF (don't we all tho), but hasn't read it all or/and has very little experience of this own, which is ok in its own, but then don't fake it in order to sell stuff through a web-site.

Greetings,
Walter
