How would that be? A sweep-the-floor-type-4?

Starting a thread by myself, doing a very similar engine like the 1914cc in the VW Trends, that was totally low-budget build, but I'll do that with a 2l Type 2 engine, square ports and original bone-stock, after 79- engine! Guys, is that a thing?

I want to get into a type 4 but of course the limiting factor is BUDGET !!

I think the budget type 4 upright build would be an excellent article for those that want to go at it cheaply at first.
