An other weekend passed without working on the car, but we had great fun on a local trackday. I was co-driver in the Z4 and we were chasing friend's 1303 Both cars are daily drivers, the bug performed very well!

Got the seats back, I really like how they turned out:

Note the white connectors...the first seats are heated now, this will be the only heating in the car. A lot lighter than other oprions

Fitted new sealing and the sensor for oil temp

Started to build the oil cooling system. Braid hoses to resist the heat in the engine bay

The cup brace is very useful

Fuel and oil hoses are almost ready

Didn't like it on the roll, but it looks very Golf GTI on the seats. Going to look really smart when done

Hi

The wheels look great. What is your car colour called? With those seats you should get a Scottish ringtone LOL They look really good and go with the car colour.

Thank you guys for the comments!

Sorry for the crappy phone pictures, I'll make better ones next time.

The seats looks more vivid in real, and I feel this tartan theme period correct as not just the GTI but also Porsche used plaid fabric in the '70s (bigger checks would be even better)

Steve, you were just kidding but not my girlfriend

Btw, colour is Kasan Red (L30B), an original one for '71-'72 or '72-'73. It will be fully polished when fenders are on.

I gave up with plastic fenders and started to make my owns from metal. They weight a lot more than fiberglass, but at least can be custom widened.

With current wheels it needs +2 cm in front, +5 in rear. Thanks for Ricola for the useful infos on his website, it helped a lot.
