Hey hi there....No not driven in anger yet although we have test run the engine on carbs and had a quick drive round the yard.
The usual christmas and new year fun has taken its toll on build time but hoping to hit it hard and get it MOT'd in january then get the efi bolted on and tuned by march...TURBONUTTA

Hi matt, yes Nearly....fitted the rear lights (new beetle lexus style)the other day and wired em up have thrown crimps, solder, wire, fuse box and stuff under the bonnet to form a real MESS due to be known as as a wiring loom. Also in the prosses of building one of those dodgy metal garages to keep her in when shes done..
Going to try and get the MOT sorted for End of jan.Its hard to finish a car only doing a sat from 11 to 5 or 6 and an evening a week if i can get to it..Hhhm i need to win the lottery...

Cheers T Nutta

Not a very good photo as its off my mobile but you get the idea the wings are metal and made from about 3-4 wings per side aaarrgh. Also you may notice the custom wide bumper and the bulgy rear valence and 67 decklid that pops open at the top using a pair of trick air rams ....Why isnt the weekend 5 days and the working week 2 days

Quite effective looking. Did you do the welding of the wings? Whoever did it did a fine job. :agree:

My mate and i made the wings in his workshop it took ages and the filla work was the hardest bit. They have been made to look like origional wings with all the right curves not like the dodgy fibre glass wings with that banded look (just a flat extension)

Well how indeed...i have driven it on the carbs with no turbo plumed , in circles around the yard a few times so i still cant say how she handles..My mate has driven it down the road although only for about 1/4 mile so he cant tell either...Im waiting for my "efi expert" to put a program in my ecu for me and teach me how to work it so i can tinker with it, get the mota running nicely then give it hell.
My local mot test station has a shock absorber testrig built into the floor that you drive onto, it showed that all my shocks were out of balance looking at the computer readouts.
So after taking them of and reseting all 4 shocks to a mid-way setting i refitted them, the car was put back on the test unit and the results were exellent all a good match.
Thanks TurboNutta
