V2 Dtm!!

During my three day (work!) adventure at Aircooled Heaven, I got a start on my MassIVe motor parts collection. Dave, you are right about that special moment of having Jake personally pick parts off the shelves of "the store", and put them in the buggy for you :righton:. One of the cool parts was when he said to pick what number V2 DTM I wanted... well, number 13 was just screaming at me for some reason . I couldn't wait to get home and mock it up! Fit great!

Thank's Nigel, I got a basic kit (shroud, alt. stand, pulley, v-belt, and cooler block off plate). I'm building a 2.7 RAT SDS/EFI W/direct fire ignition . March is the time frame to order "the good's". I just couldn't go to Jake's shop and not buy anything . So, I got a start on my cooling system. Still need to order my setrab remote oil cooler, to go with the V2 DTM, it doesn't have provisions for stock oil cooler (cleaner look IMO)

Ithink I too will be doing the V2 DTM and use my RX7 oil cooler or a Setrab. Yes it is a nice place to shop that TYPE 4 Store.
Where will the displacement end with our club. Zen does a 2316, Oasis slips in with a 2056, Nigel ups him with a 2270, Beth has a Turbo 2L in the works. I thought I was going big with a 2.4L then, Wrench blow up with a 2.7L. Hey Laz, what are you going to end up with? I thought it would take a long time for for most of us to be Type 4 powered but it is right around the corner.:agree:

Dave, I was going to be happy with the 2.5 kit, but Jake emailed me with the "I'm gonna hook you up" deal... who am I to say no!

And I will still be the weak sister at the next Dyno Day.

I guess when other tasks are taken care of, I will have to investigate a What's-Next-For-Me tangent.

It is hard to beat a Jake hook up. I think the 2.7 will be great. The bigger the better. I don't mind having the smaller engine. As long as we dominate as a club.
Don't feel like the little one Oasis,,,, your car is a blast to drive. Even Kevin (BK member) loved driving it.

Lookin good...

Need to post those over at my place :-)

Anyway, the V2 DTM kit is coming in a bit cheaper than we would have imagined... Wait till you see the price these will be selling for..

One thing I did notice is that the engines are all over 2 liters......so since we are primarily a later model club we could be the "What the BK really want to be when they grow up club"??? WTBKWTBWTGU....not sure about that!!!!
Just a little GL humor.

I love it when people "thank" me as they're passing me.

My dad, 90, can't drive a stick anymore but lives vicariously in the navigator's seat. I'm doing 75 in third and passing someone and he says, "Look at <insert car name here>. He's not so tough."

Recently on a joy ride I asked him if he would have liked my Super "back in the day." He said no. While he could've gotten clear of the cops, my Super wouldn't have held enough hooch to make it worthwhile.

And it wasn't built for "getting acquainted."

Oh well.
