Is Russ selling out?

From the very different type4 Porsche headed motor hes going to use a T1 style engine he'll have pushrods dry sump and water cooling .

On the upside he will have between 6 and 700 bhp and a very strong engine.

Have you guessed its a Pauter? yes with Autocraft heads 2.9 litre and it will be road legal Its a huge descision for him to make as he's always wanted to stay true to the marque at least 85% of his engine was german and mostly Volkswagen and most ironically mostly second hand parts the crank is 6 years old its won 4 championships ,runner up in 2 and it was new before he was born nearly .Its testimony to the true strength of the type 4.
It very nearly ran a 9 (10.05) and he regrets not doing so but its a realisation that pushing it further would result in finding the limits, whereas starting with a Pauter hes beyond 400 already with a stock case .
Anyway just thought you,d appreciate an update on where he's going this year.

Not having a VW-made case should be against the rules!

their is a guy in Norway that post on shoptalk forum that goes by the name of frallen2. He water cooled the heads of his t4 years ago and he didn't have to run a fan shroud. The car had a 82mm okrassa crank, 98mm nicasils with modified head. This combination run great for him, the engine was also blown.
