That is one amazing car and more so when you consider it was driven to the pod (several hundred miles )and he has just fiinshed building the engine , he still has to tune the engine for more power !!!!! this was just a test weekend ,
probably will end up the fastest road driven bug in the world ,made all the sweeter buy being germanlook

P.s according to the thread this was acomplished with a slipping clutch

I don't know. I didn't see it move, just smoke alot. Plus, it has been hacked up and has a radiator now, I hates me some radiators. It takes alot to get a car in the 9's. When he puts that thing in the 9's he should post a video.

The Beetle was almost water-cooled, it was one of Porsche's first prototypes with a radial engine but Hitler didn't approve of it. Hitler ordered it to be air-cooled for better winter drivability and for the snowy mountains. So, you have a mass-murdering freak to thank for that

Russ' car, that thing is insane. For keeping it in the stock configuration, I'd like to see anyone build a car that can drive to the track then do 9's. The mid-engine V8 is basically a tube chassis racecar with a Bug body on it!
