The TDI Lives
Well we cranked the Jetta today and it lit right off. It took a while to get the water pump to prime(damn radiator cars) and we have to find a vacume leak or the scource of the low boost it has now(could be the computer relearning after the battery was disconnected for days). Still need to swap 3 stretch bolts(when VW gets them in), swap the oil pans over(leak), put the engine covers/belly pan on, get the car to see it has a CD changer now and change the oil. But it is close to being done.
Almost forgot, pay the visa bill for the engine($2500) Then I can get back to the 2275.

Glad to hear that it will be back on the road very soon.
The bill sucks though.

What it wouldn't have done for my 2275(turned it into a Type 4) and the 901 installation.

Good to hear that is back on the road. I know Nancy is happy to have it back!
Now my new 90 Jetta on the other hand......... needs a little help here and there! So it will not be able to make an appearance next weekend. I will be in the 300,000 mile 87 Golf packed full towing a little trailer! :righton:
