15" Rims?

I have a 1975 Superbeetle, and I have the chance to pick up a set of reasonably priced phone dial rims either 15x6 or 15x7. However, I'm not sure if they will fit due to clearance with the steering knuckle. Would appreciate any info that could steer me in the right direction. Unfortunatley, I am not in a position where I can test fit the rims to figure out the answer myself. Car is getting much needed TLC in the body shop. Hope to post a picture when its finished.
