Question 944 Trailing Arm From An 83

CAN I USE MY VW TRANS AXLE WITH AN 83 944 TRAILING ARM?
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF USING THE 944? :silly: WILL THE BACK TIRES STILL BOW OUT?

The only advantage to a 944 arm is that it will have a larger stub axle that you can use for beefier T2 CVs. You would just need Thing output flanges to get the inners to match.

But if you have a mild engine the T2 CVs are not needed.
