Mounting Seats

I've just bought a used OMP seat and I was looking to install it this weekend. I decided not to use the sliders that came with the seat, but used the Beetle ones.

I'm pretty sure I can make this work, but I do have to say the original seatframe looks a bit flimsy...
I wonder if it would hold up after a couple of AutoX sessions.

Any ideas ?
I couldalso just weld 2 crossbars from the heaterchannel to the tunnel and mount the seat (wit the original sliders) on there...

What do you think ?

Rob.

The stock seat mounts have been known to break loose on high powered cars. I did not use them when I mounted my 911sc seats. I built some mounts using angle steel and the stock Porsche sliders.
