Dimensions of 944 torsion bars
Good Day to one and all,
Can anyone give the sizes of the torsion bar i.e the diameter and length for an 1985 Porsche 944 2.5 lux. Will the above torsion bars be suitable to fit an 03 with the ali a arms. One more point will the above stiffen up the rear end more than the original 03 torsion bars, or has anyone a better solution. Your help is appreciated. Cheers VEEMAN |

i think mine were either 27 or 27.5mm diameter and same length as a late beetle bar ( I hope). However it is important to consider that although a t-3 Squareback bar is 27mm, they may be softer due to different composition. I am only going to install the porsche torsion bars after i have my 17x9 wheels, because otherwise with to small a tire and too stiff of a rear suspension, you will run into oversteer problems.

The Type 3 squarebacks are 22.5mm. It doesn't say anything about fastbacks or Notchbacks. The best thing to do is read the article, it's very well put together.
