1303/1302

I was wondering if a 1303 body would fit on a 1302 pan. I have a 1302 pan and like the 1303 body a little more. Is the only thing different the front suspension (basically just the spindles, struts & control arms) and the seat mounts? Thanks.

Yes, they will interchange. You've stated the obvious differences but these can be worked around. The control arms will bolt into either chassis.

I think the seat rails are different too.

Cool, thanks guys. I just want to leave the option for either body style open since my old 1302 body is cut up in my back yard. The difference in seat rails shouldn't make a difference unless I wanted to use the later seats (hey this will be a race car, stock seats=no support). Also does that mean that if I were to go to a 1303 body style I would also need the rack & pinion steering or can I use the 1302 steering components. Again thanks guys!

The R&P was only in the 1975 (for sedans) 1303. The pan can be used for any of the suspensions, the mounts look slightly different but it will bolt up. The adaption of the R&P is a bit more involved but all the early stuff interchanges.
