T-1 clutch+915?

This winter's project is to install a 915trans into the subaru powered 1302GT.
Since i had the adapter for the original trans and a brand new kep stg3 clutch, i was wondering if the splines of the clutch disc wil fit the 915 input?

If not is it enough to only change the 200mm disc to a custom unit that fit to the 915?

This one fits to the 915 gearbox. Originally for the 164 Alfa, Lancia etc. 228mm 20 splines. Original Sachs Number. Good luck to get one.

is it just the friction disc that fits or does the clutch pressure plate fit a 228mm wasserboxer flywheel?

if the 915 is the same as the G50, I heard an early style 928 disc should do the job (200mm)

Cool!
But that is a very high tech sport disk with organic clutch material...and therefore 229 euros!
Would a stock alfa 164 disk have the same measurements?

Yes Wally, the 164 228mm 20 spline disc fit to our 915 tranny. You can look up the number in the sachs catalogue. I use the one on the picture.

Tom,
The picture you showed is quite a different one than in the catalog. Yours has springs. The one in the link looks way different ??
Well, I'll visit my local parts house and check it out; Thanks again!

Thumbs up

Wally, this is the order number out of the zf-trading catalog. The original 915 spline size comes in @ 20,1x22,3-20N. Did lot's of research in the catalog to find this. Got one on ebay for 20€ and found out that it really fits firmly on the 915 shaft. Believe this will make life easier for those crazy enough to force this gearbox into a beetles arse.
