New guy

Hi All;

Sandeep's post over on the Solo Ontario board has finally led me over here. I have had a couple of aircooled VW in my past. I had a 72 Super and a 78 Bus with a later 2L motor. I still have a soft spot for the cars, so I thought I may lurk around here from time to time and see whats up.

Here is my old cars:

Hey Welcome,

Are you the guy with the (original) mini that I talked to at the CCC SOLO 2 at the Bronte Go station ?
We talked a bit about your car just before you were getting ready for another run.

Rob.

Thanks

I did do one (well, half really) of a Solo2 day this year at Bronte just to see what it was all about. If you talked to a guy in a green Mini with white hood stripes and a white roof, that was me. If you talked with a guy in a light blue Mini with large wheel arches, that was MiniMutt. I certainly don't remember any classic VW's the day I went, which is to bad. Im really a Solo1 guy at heart.

Ya know, its kinda funny...14 years ago I came up with my Internet handle "AirCooln" when I had the bus, and have never stopped.

Ok, then I spoke with the other guy.

I didn't bring my Bug because it's not ready yet (will it ever be ?)
There are a couple guys in the club planning on Racing next year, so you are in good company :-)

Hi,

Welcome to the site. I'm really looking forward to some racing next year, and so far, my bug is in schedule to make it for 2004

Just waiting for the 2004 rules to come out to see what class I qualify for.

Sandeep
