Hidden Antenna options
Hi, I'm looking for a hidden antenna solution for my super beetle. I need to have an antenna for radio however I don't want anything you can see, including the shark fin thingies like BMW has. Does anyone have experience with any sort of hidden antenna? Thanks
Mike

Hi
A friend had success when he insulated his hood and used it as an antenna, I've also seen them fitted under the running board running parallel to the road. Steve

A buddy recommended one of these:
http://www.ecshylites.citymax.com/page/page/761353.htm I have used one like this with good results and you can usually find one at you local autoparts store: http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...odinc=antennas I had mine mounted to the roof under the headliner. They run about $40. But have seen one mounted under the front bonnet of a beetle with double sided sticky tape. However if I remember they don't like direct contact with metal. Thanks for the replies guys, I didn't see these replies right away and I ended up buying this one from Metra. I've heard it works well mounted under dashes.
