VW 1303 Cosworth

I have for years planed this car, but it is not possible to get road legal in Norway cause strict and stupid regulations.

Car: VW 1303 -75

Engine. Ford Sierra Cosworth 220 bhp/214 ib/ft (Stock) Easely tuned to 300+

Transmission: VW 091 with ZF lsd. Ratio adapted for engine, weight og car, wheelsize etc. For max performance. IRS bus to sedan intermediate housing.

Brakes front: 330X32 from VW Toareg. Brembo 4 pot from Mitsubishi EVO 8
Brakes rear: 330X28 from VW Toareg. Brembo 4 pot fom Fiat Coupe 2.0 20V Turbo + Brembo handbrakecalippers from Aston Martin DB9.

Suspension: Bilstein coilovers front and rear.

The car was planed use for street legal dragracing, trackdays etc.
It would be build with show finish.

Wheels: 7X17

Other: Full rollcage, radiator and batteri in front, watercooled intercooler.

Check out my restoration project: http://www.vwnorge.no/index.php/topic,367.0.html

KEP adapterplate with flywheel after my own spec.
Transmission moved 80 mm into the car for bether traction on clearance to rear lid.

Using the hub from 1303 with drums You can bolt on a custom bracket made of aircraft quality aluminium.
It was possible to use 345 mm disc with these calippers and 17" rims,
but i didn't find reardisc to match to get the right front-rear ratio that I needed.

Calippers, acryl-prototype bracet and drawing for sale.

Hi

Looks like an interesting project. I live in a nanna (grandma) state as well. But we are allowed to fit a turbo motor 2.5 x the stock factory car weight = 2175 cc or 3 x for a NA motor = 2610 cc.

Is it possible to have the car road legal in another country but still use it in Norway?

Steve

I assume if I got the car tested and approved at TUV in Germany.
But I think that will be very expensive.

Interesting swap.

I had a question, but then I realized you already answered it in you're first post.
