my two cents

i used the H4 80-100 bulbs that are xenon gas and i love them. yeah if your after the look then HID is the way to go but mine light up the whole road and them some if you just want really bright lights. my bulbs were only $30 for the pair at the local shop. note, if your cops are tight wads then dont use these as they are illegal but then again so are any aftermarket blue light that isn't OEM. just my two cents.

I use 60/100 super 2000 brand xenon bulbs. I got the headlights and the h4 housings at a Goodguys hot rod swap meet for $20.
They have the same light color as mercedes hids that I've seen.

So what do you do with these? Are they replacements for the stock headlights? or must they be mounted seperately from the stock head lights.. Is there a part number?

Thanks
Ron

EMPI sells the conversion to use the H4 style bulb which comes with 55/65W white bulbs and then go buy the bulbs you want if you want the blue bulbs and/or more watts. they are a direct replacement for the sealed units VW uses. they just have a replaceable bulb that comes in from the back instead of the bulb and lens being one as they are with stock ones.

Thanks! I never new this conversion was available. Aircolled.net has them for $14.95 per light. Pretty good deal for some real lights!
