Thanks! I have enjoyed every aspect of owning it -- from driving it totally stock to being half way there, from meeting people I may not have met otherwise to seeing friendly gestures, from conceptualizing to seeing fruition along the way.

I don't know when our next house purchase will be but I will be insisting on a functional garage. Seeing the wonderful work people like Mikey and Yetibone are doing makes me want to be a lot more hands-on my next GL'er. But that's for the future; I'm enjoying the present.

Well, as a fellow 1302 owner, all I can say is...Keep up the good work! It sounds as though I'm following pretty much the same schedule of completing my GL as you did. Right now I'm in Phase 1. Heck you don't live that far away from me. Maybe I'll see you at the BugOut in may?
Again...AWESOME 1302!

I'd like that. I have never been to BugOut despite its relative closeness to me. It seems every year I have a conflict for one reason or another. May has the most holidays of any month in our family besides December although I can't say it is always that. Once again, I will try to attend this year.

I also took notice of your 1302. The black bumpers and glass seals look quite effective against the Marathon Blue. Since Marathon Blue was the only color of the Baja Champion, a special edition in the U.S.A. for 1972, do you know if yours was one of these special editions?
