11 blade fan parts
Aside from the shroud. What exactly do I need to look for besides the fan itself/alt./and fan housing? Is there any other hardware etc.? THANKS!!

Yeah...I would like if anyone could tell us a complete list of parts needed to install a Porsche fan on a flat4.
1. the Porsche fan/alt 2. the ring machined(this is a task) 3. the shroud 4. the band (strap) that fixes the shroud to the case(stand) 5. the pulley(s) ??6.?? is there a must for a stand or you can bolt it to the machined case? what about the breather box in this case? We are talking about type 4 in my case. Martin |

This is how a t1 kit looks(with stand)
and this is how a t4 looks(without stand I belive) |

Martin, the type 4 breather box must be machined so the fan ring can fit in the correct position. The shroud mfg. should supply the dimensions for the machine work with the kit.

Thanks Kdanie, i know the type4 breather box must be machined, forgot to mention.
To be honest here is what I plan to do if I find a 911 fan at a good price: Machine the fan ring, machine the case, build my own shroud from fiberglass.Hope it will work, I can't afford a kit... I wish to do this mostly because i need the space in the engine compartiment for a plenum for a CIS system. Martin |
