If you buy an bolt in => Heigo is the thing. NOT bolted on the floorpans (do you want to risk your life to your floorpans?) And beutiful design

He's right, Heigo makes some very nice stuff. I would think a wiser alternative would be talking to the guys at Autopower about what you want exactly. Each roll bar and cage is made to order, so you could get it as a "weld in" if you're that worried about it. Plus your in SoCal, and that's where I/O Port (Autopower) is located.

Just some food for thought.

The rules on a cage differ from different types of racing. If you want to race with the SCCA then you need to go to their site ( www.scca.com ) and they have their rule book online.

I would be weerie of the quality of a cage that cheap, or it's just the piping (non DOM). If you want to race your car with the SCCA or other bodies then you need to comply by their rules. The rules cover materials, thickness of the metal, mounting points etc.

S&W Race Cars highly recommends that you consult your NHRA or IHRA rule book for proper installation requirements. S&W roll bars and roll cages meet or exceed NHRA, IHRA and NMCA requirements for material size and thickness (S&W 1-3/4"x.134" wall mild steel roll bars are precision bent for each particular body style and feature notched tube ends (where applicable), but must be installed in accordance with the sanctioning body's guidelines. The NHRA, IHRA & NMCA require a properly installed window net with any roll cage installation, regardless of class.

The kit includes a main hoop, rear braces, side bars, frame supports, seat crossmember and 6 steel mounting plates.

Im thinkin of Getting more added on.. so I can run it into the flipup front clip..
And welded to the main suport not just bolted on..
They make race car stuff...
You still think it may be cheap crap?
I beleave they have them almost precut & box Ship & you install & weld..
Not sure but $200 on parts may alow me to get a full cage in For under $1500 that would be great...
I could use that on some over haging brake & clutch setup..
peace Troy

Several guys over on the STF "racing" forum run them and have positive comments. The key is proper installation...

You must also remember that NHRA doesn't mean SCCA legal. And you also must remember that just because it's precut for the car doesn't mean it will be a perfect fit. Keep those two things in mind.

Understandable..
Iv emailed the SCCA reps in my area.. have yet to hear back..
As far as the fit gose..
It looks to be a good compony..& I plan on having it installed by a race shop he in town (They do the dirt Track cars)
And mod the cage for my flipup front clip..
Would run it upfront & around the front foot area..
Trying to make a roadcar with a smaller bugget..
Peace Troy
