ragtop roof on a germanlook?

is this "not done" on a germanlook? My bug is germanlook style (I think) and I'd like to put a ragtop roof opening in it and also an oval or split rear window.
this is my car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/844382/1

It should be a reflection of your tastes. Only the Cal-look crowd (others also but Cal-look is more fun) modifies then shuns those without original burners, or who didn't braze the moulding holes closed versus MIG, tires exactly 135mm wide up front or you're considered an outcast because you want to actually be able to turn that shopping cart, etc.

By the way, no Cal-look cars were injured (physically) in that re-creation of a bench-racing session at the local Cal-look rehabilitation center..

To quote Humpty-Hump circa 1990..."Do whatcha like..."

I'll be ordering a ragtop sunroof from parisbeetles.com in de UK. My mother
has an old Citroën 2CV with a similar roof and it's very enjoyable on hot days.
Hope the roof will hold when doing + 100mph, we'll have to wait and see

I've been looking around for an original here in Belgium but no luck yet, asked about the quality of the parisbeetles ones on the UK Volkszone forum and got 1 positive reply so far.

As mentioned above, I think you have to follow an individual style that you are happy with, rather than trying to conform with "rules and regulations" of a particular "theme".

Here is my "german looker" (term used fairly loosely) - 17in wheels and 4 wheel discs along with type IV, autometer gauges, roll cage.....but stock seats, carpet, chrome trim, audio system etc....so I just did what I liked and it turned out alright (in my opinion!).

thats quite the understatement, you're car is one on the very best looking bugs out there imo.
Ragtop sunroof is ordered from parisbeetles.co.uk so in about 3 weeks I'll know how the quality is and will post some pics.

I think a GL Rag would be awsome!!!!

Im a lil concerned about putting a split or oval in, just for the fact it cuts down on the rear visibility, and havinf full view of all four corners is important in a GL.
