Today I started making the '58 parafan look like an '56.

Here is the difference between the '58 and '56.

Time to cut again.

Cutting, and trying.

The result of a few hours work.

Today I worked on the wipers again.
Just to be sure I mounted the mechanism and it fits. (sorry for the crappy phone pic's)

To mount the mechanism I had to weld this bracket as well

Wile the front is removeable, I have good access to drill the cage holes.

Never thought the hole would have this shape.

The cage can not hit the pedalbox, innerwing and fueltank, and has to end in the sparewheel well to be welded to the Porsche frontwheel mounts.

The cage will also run under the dash, this will fit perfect later on.

With this piece of cardboard the hole on the right will be easier.

Took the doors from the attic and dismantled them (they weigh a ton with all the windows etc.).
trail fitted the left door, fixated it with the wright gabs and made the first welds

When the right door is fixated and the pillar is tackwelded as well, I will start on the window surrounding.

I am trying Stevo. After reading this it all looks so simple, but I have lots of headaches and there is alot of swearing before the pictures are taken.

Time to restore the window corners, this is not easy cos this is where the '58 is different from the '56
First I had to cut some more of the '56, and then I started to make my own '58 - '56 puzzle.
The before picture.

Cut a piece of '58 in to the wright shape to follow the '56 windowl line.

I had some leftovers from the '56, they came in handy now.

after a lot of testfits, I am a happy man.

The right is tacked as well, doesn't look like much but this took me several hours.

If it has to be good, it has to be worse first. So the hole had to be bigger.

I used a piece from the '56, but is was pretty rotten at the vertical edge.

Made a new vertical piece (Real PITA) and welded it in. took me all morning but it's done.
