powder coating engine tin, help me decide
i have a buddy that does powder coating as a side business and he is powder coating all my engine tin and front suspension for free because i built him a larger oven out of an old refriderator to do bigger parts(he was using an old oven) and i cant decide on colors. my super is canary yellow so i am thinking satin black tin would look good with the intakes silver and all ss braided lines. he has already done the intakes and my tranny mount in silver so i will try getting a few pics up soon of his work. give me your thoughts on colors that will hold true with the german look style.

Satin black is always prefered, it's simple, works and is classy (if done right).
But i have seen people pull off silvers and grey tones very well. depends on the car and componets on the engine...ect. I personaly had all silver tin, but i have soon realized its just to much, and im going with a semi-gloss black... cant go wrong with black! Jonathan

We used irridescent indigo from the Eastwood company over black.
In the shade its just black, in the sun pops with the flakes and a blue tint. |
