Gauge Questions

I'm in the process of doing a dash pod for my 74 1303. I got an Alum 914
dash panel from 9xauto,and I want to use AutoMeter gauges but I'm not
sure about two things is their electro speedo the same as VDO's and whats
the ohm range of the 74 SB fuel sending unit. AutoMeter has three units
GM,Chry, etc. each with a full-empty ohm rating. Does anyone know the rating for stock sender of a 74 Super.
Thanks
GunnyOz

I ordered all my Autometer Ultra-Lite gauges and senders from these guys -- http://www.egauges.com/. They also run a VW shop. Great prices and service. They'll answer your questions and have whatever you need... :agree:

In my Ghia I'm using a full line of Autometer guages. I tried to figure out a vw sending unit, but I ended up going with Autometer's guage for their sending unit, it's the same bolt pattern, you'll just have to make it fit your tank. Since it's universal. Personally, I'd rather go with a guage and sender that I know for sure work, then try to take a guess.

I'm also using an electric speedo, but I got my sender from speed"o"meter service co. in Milwaukee, WI www.speedometersolutions.com They were good to me, but I've only bought 1 sender from them.

I have a set of Autometer Sport-Comp gauges in my ghia. I am using a fuel gauge that has the range of 73Ωs Empty / 8-12Ωs Full range with a stock sender. And it works great.
