headliner choices
We are sending the 73' back to the bodyshop in the next couple weeks, so we are going to have to decide on the interior colors for the car now. Unfortunately TMI and Sewfine only make the Vinyl headliners in white and black. We were kind of leaning towards black but grey was the preferred color.
Has anyone done theirs with the velour or tweed headliners? Hows the wear & tear and did they fit/install well? How about some interior pics. There isn't much posted about interiors on the Samba. If you want just e-mail them to me at witwicki@telusplanet.net -------------- Dorinda, Mark, Wilbur & Hobbes(7/96-11/02) 73 super 82 scirocco 00 jetta TDI |

No experience with tweed or velour.
But if you are looking for a gray TMI headliner, the Real Source has them in black, white, gray & tan.

unfortunately Dorinda doesn't want the perforated style. The original was the white crush vinyl that we had dyed grey back in 85'.

have one made. shouldn't cost that much more from a shop that normally does them. i am having a custom one made for a choptop and ragtop with standard headliner material for $250 installed. a standard shouldn't even come close to that.

I think Sewfine will do any color, now that I have read the catalog. Just that TMI does the seatcovers for the scirrocco seats and the stock rear seat and the color match is going to be a pain.
