the european VW mags are just as easy to find around here as the US ones, which is fine by me, cause the euro ones are 10x better thanVW trends and only slightly better than HOT VW's, not to thrilled about the adds in them for german porn sites though.

I was hoping for the price to drop if they sell enough of them in the U.S.A.

Last time I saw a European VW mag is was like $8 to $10...

VW SCENE isnt too pricey, some of the others are a little expensive though. but they're twice as thick as the us ones.

just got back from vacation to my first issue of Hot VW's in quite a few years. looks like my VWT sub ran out just in time to miss the ad.

the magazine business is a very tough business. i have debating for a while of about launching a new mag, but alot of work for little money. look at how many fail. VWT may be another if they don't amke some management changes.

i never subscribed to trends or hvw's, i usually just look through them and see if theres something i like and then i buy it. and in england its ALL about their smut, its just everywhere over there. and are the air cooled vw mags over there good? ive gotten one or two water cooled ones and they were just horrible, they were talking about corrados that were supposed to be the best of the bunch they had over there........they had exhuast, chip, and pulleys....

I personally like VolksWorld but the last time I checked it was 80 bucks for a years subscription. I don't like it that much. The place where I used to get my VW Scene quit carring it so I'm stuck with nothing again, or else I got to search a little harder.

I've switched over to Ultra VW from Hot VWs and VW Trends. I think it was for the better. How many times can I open up a magazine and see the same car over and over again? Ultra VW has something different and interesting, and they also feature New Beetles and air-cooled 4-cyl Porsche for a little more variety.

I recommend picking it up and having a look.

Man I have been using that stuff in VW Trends for a couple months and now my shoes do not fit. Is this what the TV ads say "Bob walks with a new swager" means? Have to walk, feet too big now to run.

Well, it was only a matter of time before those ads start appearing in car mags. Sadly enough TV and Magazines seem to take any money without shame. I am tired of Male Enhancement, flavored light days with wings, scented things on strings, and ex-models with hemoroids. Oh well, times have changed.

Okay, before the mag goes in the dumper this month, I look at the editorial. Looks like we're not the only ones fussing about the NME ad. And what it Ryans take on it? He says oh, we should just laugh about it. What a dork.

John

He's trying to make light of it.
really its no big deal.
Just look at the Euro mags, they even have phone sex ads...
I dont see the big deal.
If They need to raise more money to make the mag better, then Im all for it.
I would love to see one of the US mags step up to the plate and make their mag as good as one of the Euro mags, and if it takes ads like that, then do whatever it takes to get the job done.

To escape having your kids see those ads in magazines and TV would require some serious sequestration from the real world. The questions will come as they get older, one way or the other. We cannot hope to keep our children as naive as we were once. Might as well get ready to answer the questions with honesty and in this case a dose of humor...

And back to my problem with my new big feet...

Thanks,

Randy

been thinking for quite a while that I could publish a magasine on par or better than many out there. Maybe its time to try.

hmm maybe thats an idea, theres lots of cool cars out on the net that have never made it into the mags, and really should.

anyone think this is a decent idea? I'd put it together from online submissions, and I could have it published and mailed out to whoever would be interested. might be a little thin without all the ads and such.

gimme some feedback on the idea, I've done some publishing so its not an amature job that'll be done, if enough people are into the idea, I'll open a website/forum for submissions and such.
