Don't tell my wife that I bought....

another VW
she will probably be mad

I just bought a 74 1303 Sunroof model.

It appears to be structurely sound so I may use this car for my
German Look project instead of my 1302.

If it ends up not being good for my base project, I will probably
strip the 1303 and cut the roof off for the steel sunroof to use on my 1302.

I will try.
For some reason my digi camera wouldnt work yesterday when
I tried to take some photos & I even changed the batteries with
ones I had laying around. I guess its possible they were bad too.

After assessing the damage today, I am leaning towards stripping the 1303 of all its good parts & using the 03 suspension on my 02. I would probably sell the rest of the parts that I dont need.

The 03 also has a factory steel sunroof and I would probably cut it off the 03 and graft it into my 02.

I havent made my final decision yet, but I will keep you guys posted.

Is the roof line of the 03 the same as the 02? May want to check before you try and swap the sunroof.

I picked up my 03 front suspension this weekend (along with a few ticks and some poison ivy ), so we can all work together on doing this swap, see what we can learn.

I've looked into making a bushing for 944 spindles to adapt to the 15mm bug ball joint, so we don't have to get the 17mm kerschers.

When do we get pictures?

John

I cant get my digi camera to work for some reason.

The roof line is the same all the way up to the front windshield I believe. A competant bodyman should be able to graft it in.

Btw John I need to talk with you about something on the phone.
