Question Dyno Day awards

Just so I know I am getting the correct number of awards for Dyno Day, what are they? Anything special other then the two I have here?
- Top HP
- Top Torque

Sounds good to me. I would have thought the BK boys would have done up some trophies kind-a-like last years or like the ones we gave out at our Dyno-Day. I guess the event sould have been called "BK Burger Stand at the Southeastern Dyno Day".

Top HP
Top Torque
Lowest HP (smallest numbers)
Best of Show/Promoters Choice

Those are the awards that we had at our dyno day :agree:

Well, what Joe said sounds good. But how did you determine the Best of Show promotors choice?
Is it wrong of me to include both water and air? and even race cars? Although I do not have either entered in the event so far.
Well If you can think or want to do your own special award, go for it. Dave will know what I am talking about!

This is the "BKC" Dyno Day. They sould decide and in my opinion come up with the awards. We do not need to ask Kathy to come up with more awards for the BK to give out. If they would have asked for some help from us in getting awards ready, I would have got something going to help. It's a little too late for that now. It looks to me like they have been sitting on their hands and done nothing to make this a great event. I think they are just going to flip burgers, sell food and tell people when they are up to dyno. They wanted to keep this thier "BK" event and we said we would help run it. Unless they have some plans that they are not talking about, I don't think they have done anything more than make a run to Sam's Club for cook-out supplies.
IMO, not the way to put your best foot forward with an event that carries the club name. But this seems to be their new direction. Marty (pissed off and gone), Scott Jones (ditto), Big Vince (double ditto), Steve Sheets (gone). Marty, Scott and Big Vince will help "US" help the BK but they all want to be sporting VKG T-shirts at the event so everyone knows they are with us and not the BK. I think they are pissed, but like us want to see a good event and a good turnout.

Wink

Well..................... I do want to have a good event and get the awards that we needed. I wish we could have had some unqiue awards, but didn't want to put anything on you all since you just finished up your own Dyno Day in November. I guess this year we will stick with just some plaques with the Top HP/Torque listed at the bottom.

Should we go with the lowest HP? Or should there be something else in there.

I sure appricate you alls support as well as Marty's, Scott, etc. I know this event will be a good one!

Yup. I'm still disappointed I didn't win the Weak Sister ... er, Smallest Power Award.

My dyno chart is being framed this week. I hope to some day have a side-by-side display of its replacement.

yes i agree with oasis. the story of where the wood on the trophies came from made them that much more special. i only have two trophies inside my house one is the Hot VW's "Top Fuel" and the Dyno Day Top Torque. those are some conversation starters. Thanks Dave and Jake for the beautiful and creative awards.

That storm made for some nice wood. That tree lives on in so many places I can't remember them all.
