Look!! Pix of a kamei style front airdam, but with no bumper!

k, so it has a bumper, but if you look at it, its BEHIND the bumper, attached to the fenders, and front apron! Does anyone know if this is a normal front kamei that was moddified, or if this is something that is produced, and where do you get it?

That doesnt look like a modified Kamei airdam.

This is what a kamei airdam looks like fitted:

Whats the clear plastic thing on the front hood of the orange car? Is this some sort of aero aid?

re:plastic "Thingy"

Really pushin the envelope w/ that one on if it actually helps or not...
Would make even less sense on a 1303. Have to agree on the 60mph + theory.
Thing is...and it is hard to tell from pictures, but I bet that guy isn't hiting much higher than 30mph on those turns...heheh
Hey...I'd carry a lucky Elephant foot key chain if I thought it'd make me go any faster. Sometimes all ya need is that extra bit of confidence...maybe it's some kind of aesthetic aerodynamic placebo??

Or it could be there to keep gravel from shooting through the windshield when you´re tailing the guy in front of you...

Back to the origional question, does anyone know where to look for one of those front air dams? I am going bumper-less, but i'm gonna run the 1/4 mile.... Don't like the idea of no front airdam, since I jsut saw a video of bug-o-rama, and a 1- second pass turned ugly....................

I think it's a custom piece. I've searched quite a bit for other front air dams than the Kamei and CCC and I never came across a piece like that for sale. I could be wrong though.

thats a standard beetle not a super.
those air dams where available. i traded a n.o.s. one for a kamei replica, since it wouldn't fit my super
