Gee... I'm glad everyone likes the car. It's really cool to know that my time and effort has paid off. Half the fun is having other people enjoy the car. The other half is a 245 series tire out back

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I hope i've inspired some current or future G'Lookers.

Question?

Can you tell me if the spoiler you are using, if lowered to attach to the engine deck lid, would it fit on it? The reason for my question is due to, i removed the luvs from inside the engine deck area (where the engine lid is hinged to) in order to better paint the area and get more air into that same area. Bugpack sell a scoop for below the rear window area that will help funnel the air into the engine area. Also I will install a oil cooler, I removed frim a Jag that fits perfict in that luved area. I would like to install a spoiler of your kind to help with down force to the rear end, since I will use a front spoiler also. So if you can envision that spoiler on the deck lid just where your third light is will be a big help.

Thanks

It probably would fit, but you won't be able to open your deck fully. I did test-fit it on the deck louvres, and that would clear, but higher than that you may run into problems.

To be honest, i'm not sure how/if the wing effects the downforce on my car.

Also, thanks for noticing the 3rd brake light. Finally, someone said something about it!

great job on the ride. you should be proud.

AAH yes.... Grabber Blue. That's a nice shade of blue.

Oh, if you want a clue as to what Vortex Blue Looks like, here's a couple of new Beetles in Vortex blue. These pics show the color better than my pics do.
