Having read a lot on the 'bird, I'm gonna vote for it being that wild.
As a side note, local Porsche guru Pat Williams is rumored to be re-creating a yellowbird for a customer. From what I know about Pat, this thing will be SCARY!!

Since we are on the subject of the ring..

Here is a Scooby.. fellow member from the Nasioc board.. He ended up doing a video/documentary of the ring with is V5 or 6 STi.. can't rember.. I ended up buying the video, since it gives pace notes and cheat notes as he takes you on a 8 min ride of your life..

I get all giddy like a little girl when I see stuff like this. This guy drives like he means it. I wanna get the chance to drive like this someday, and not just on the ol' xbox.

I know the feeling.. That is one of my things on my list of life adventures or things that I need to do..

I figure worste case do the ring taxi in the new M5 or get a rental.. best case, I find myself there in my own car.. but man is it going to cost me to learn that track..

I have seen it countless times, I am impressed by these drivers.. hell it always take we a day to remember Watkins Glen and that is just over 3 miles..

The video I posted is his second run on the Ring. In the first run he drives very smoothly, not so much jerking of the steering and tire smoke. But in the second, he pushes the car to it's limits and lets all hell break loose! I laugh each time I see it; tipicallty german to drive a porsche like that with only a pair of jeans and a plade shirt!!!!!

To make a trip to germany and run on the ring is one of my dreams also. The Tickets for the ring are not expensive: 56 euro for 4 laps... but each laps are 20,8 km (about 13 miles!!!).

Meanwhile my friend has a Playstation with GrandTourismo4 with the steering wheel, and I drive around the Ring in the Yellowbird.
It makes good practice, like training on a simulator: good way to learn the circuit, no joke.
