Type 1 Hp Hop Up.

Ok here is the situation. I have two dp 1600 engines. They are both in not running condition. I think between the both of them that I have enough parts to build an engine for my car. I am going to buy all the special tools to assemble the engine.

I am on a tight budget since I want a big type 4 engine but would like to drive my car in the mean time.

I am planning on doing a little head porting, not to much but just enough to clean the ports up.

What are some good ways to get more HP out of a 1600 without bigger cylinders or stroking it.

I already have .
1. 1.5 quart deep oil sump.
2. high lift valve covers for ratio rockers.
3. crankcase breather system.
4. high rev valve springs.
5. racing valve guides
6. aluminum crank pulley
7. bosch 009 distributor
9. pertonix igniter
10. merged header with J tubes and a high flow muffler.
11. external oil cooler with electric fan

Also any suggestions on a good compression ratio. I have to be able to run more than 7.5:1.
