nothing too unusual. '86 951/944Turbo. Stock except for a Stage 2 Authority chip. Excellence says a stock is 0-60 in 5.7 and 1/4 in 13.5. But the Turbos are mostly mid and high end engines. the S2 has the 3.0 with the bottom end, but lacking on the top. i went with this turbo mostly because of how clean it is and the right price. considering some of the other beaters i looked at out there that people made sound as though they just came off of the showroom floor, this guy really understated the condition of the car. not mint, but very good for its age. plus, new a/c compressor . he had most of the typical issues already taken care of too. i am going to be holding my breathe for a while. repairs on these things are not cheap.

well i finally picked the new car up today. she has a fresh nose job now (previous owner had someone ding the air damn). what a fun ride. now if i can just figure out why there is no heat. not that i should need it in ATL in April, but damn it was cold today.

anyone in the ATL area, these body guys did some pretty damn good work, but will mostly only do insurance. they do warrantee work for Lotus (the US headquarters are in Lawrenceville of all places). it is Ken's Body Shop in Tucker.

glad my new baby is home. lol. speaking of babies, have to share this.

i am taking my 8 and 3 year old out to dinner in it tonight. now my son (the 3 year old as of last week) obsolutely loves cars. he keeps trying to get on his knees in the seat to look backwards. i yell at him to "sit down or you not be riding in this car again!" and i hear him mumble in the back, "it's not a car, daddy. it's a porsche". from the mouth of babes.
