cable shift 915?

I am thinking about the shifter linkage on a 915 box, and ran across this cable shifter in a 914.

Its a good idea, but is more for kit cars, or 914 that are mid engine. Thats the reason for the cable linkage. Its easier to adapt a shift rod to work with a front mounted tranny (like a conversion for a 915 in a bug). Look on the main GL page under tech articles. There is a 901 install into a bug for reference.
