shaving the window trim

i took the window trim off my 71 super and now there's a gap between the felt channel and the door. i was wondering the best way to rid the gap. body filler, epoxy? does anyone make 1/16 in. wider channels?

I dont know anything about wider felt channels
If you want to get ridd of the chrome there are to ways:
1 paint it black
2 get the mexican pieces that are black from the factory and are a straight swao for all the later (big window) beetles
