Question Cup Brace Feedback?

Hello everybody!!

I would like to get some feedback from people who have installed the Kafer Cup 3 and 5 bar brace. I want to know what your reactions have been from driving you Germanlooker before, and after installing these shiny pieces of metal, and boy do they look shiny !! With my bug, I'll mainly be daily-driving it on the street, but I would like to take it out to the race track and enjoy some hair-pin turns every chance i can get.

Thanks everybody!
Clint

i don't have much of a before to compare it to as i did a total rebuild of the car, but i can say that i love it. no wheel hop so far and nice firm back end. worth the bucks. check out VeeDub Engineering's version for an option other than CSP. always worth looking at options.

With stock motor/tranny lots of wheel hop and a broken nosecone.

Built the motor(2332)/close ratio 4speed, and made a traction bar for the motor. Was ok, the car spun more than it hooked. When it did hook it had some wheelhop. Went to a battle of the imports 1/4 mile race, and they sprayed VHT (track bite) around the start line for the FWD to have some traction. I burned out, (with some wheelhop ) , i let go of the line lock and the tires bit. Tried to roll up and stage, and no go . Broke the output shaft of the tranny. When pulling the motor noticed the traction bar was bent!

So rebuilt, with a bolt in 3bar setup, from aircooled.net, which at that time was made by TGFAB? They don't sell them anymore, i don't know why. Now the car either hooks or spins. NO Wheelhop! Haven't taken it to the strip yet. We'll see.
