Mathias,
More pics please. I am doing similiar repairs on mine, and curious as to your approach. Do you think the ends where the two body bolts will be weak? Since it is not supported on the bottom via the lower frame head Take care Alex

Hi Alex.
I´m sure it will be strong when everything is welded together. We make a exact copy of original but put extra strength to it by boxing on the inside. I´ve put my bug to the test on the track with original pan (rusty) and found no weakning points so this extra strength is just a bonus.
