There was a SCOOBY CONVERSION at the Classic!!!
Holy Frijolies! How did he escape un-lynched?
Second pic down, looks like a pretty clean flat black super in the background?
If you've got more piccies, please post for the rest of us to enjoy .

yeah the scooby conversion bug is actually a friend of mine named Russell. he has been working on it for the past couple years. its a motor from a Legacy and hes done a pretty sweet job on the install. It will look sweeter when painted with those 19's he has on it staring at ya.

That bug you mentioned in the background is going to be seen everywhere soon. it was built by one of the shops that the show Overhaulin uses. It has custom one off Chip Foose wheels, a completely custom dash all made from scratch and stereo system too with a 5.1 center channel speaker system. VERY well done and can be heard for miles. Im talking very clean sound from lows to highs. Here are som more pics of it.

I'm sorry, but I have to say besides all the man hours that I'm sure went into it, I find that install pretty unsavoury. There's no flow to it, speakers just stuck everywhere and I'm sure the sound quality is lacking pretty badly. If loud is what you're looking for, I'm sure it will perform, but for everything else it leaves me a little wanting. I'm quite certain Chip Foose would agree!

I LOVE that primer green suby conversion! That's going to be one to watch in my opinion. Looks very well engineered and those wheels look sick.

I like the wheels on that blue convertible... Anyone who knows what brand thay are?

Kool dash and console on the black Super, but all those other speakers clogging the interior... :disagree: IMHO a car should have a sound system, but not look like transport cart for a Hifi system.

Sweet cars, more pics please!!!

That green oval is lovely!! :agree:

I think also the dash of the black bug is nice and unique. Don't forget that it's a show car and not a daily driver.. so it have to be a WOW somehow and it IS.. you are right, from that $$$ spent on this install you could have a much more better audiosystem in your car (in quality)..but having just louds is also a different and existing category in the HIFI scene (and a good choice to collect the people around to see what it is)

I'm so envious that you could see this beauties face to face.
PICS PICS PICS PLS!!

Brian, James, Russ, Tom, and others -- It was great to meet in person and shoptalk. Being my first Classic, I was surprised at the number of GL's. There was a great turn-out of cars with something for everyone's taste. I enjoyed the Things and Type3's. The roadtrip was awesome, so i'll be seeing you next year!
