he didn't give me a number on the body but he said it'd be comparable to buying a good body and fixing the rust on it, so it should be a pretty viable option for anybody looking to go really fast or get crazy good fuel economy.
zen, i got confused there for a second because i wrote the article and i'm dave too! and i agree 100% on the need for new pioneers in the vw community. it's been what, 40 years? we have hope though, with the jake rabys, suby swaps, a-arm suspensions, etc.
