Making PopOut Windows

I have been considering making California Type PopOut windows like they used to have on the market years ago. You know the ones without any chrome trim around the glass.

What I would like to do is design & test the prototypes on my car & if it works out ok, would probably make these available to other enthusiasts too if there was a demand.

I think these items would look great & be very functional for air flow on GL cars instead of just using cal look rubber on the rear quater windows.

What do you guys think???

are these the ones like Topline used to Sell Bren, with no frameless (no chrome around glass)?

dunno what the topline ones were like, but these use drilled glass with the two front hinges and the single rear catch mounted through holes in the glass.. no trim around glass at all, the seal mounts to the body. look pretty clean.. ive seen some home-made versions too.. the seal is a generic OE part which can be bought by the metre from motor factors, and fiat or peugeot hinges and catches were used.. neatest one i saw used peugeot 205 bits.. not sure where they had the glass made up though? ..but then i thought lexan would be the best idea for this...
