strengthing rear shock mounts

Has anyone tried to reinforce the lower rear shock mounts on an 944 alloy trailing arm ?

Maybe by welding on support from the bolt back to the arm ? almost like semi boxing the arm....

any ideas

chris

for what purpose? 944's can run rear coilovers no problem, and a 944 is heavier than any type 1 or type 3

It will hold, don't be afraid.
Several companies, including KW did very torough testing of the rear coilover setup without torsion bars and all tests passed.
