Hello everybody

Greetings everyone. Finally registered here and figured I should introduce myself to the masses. My name is Mark and I have a Beetle problem I also live in Northern Virginia. I have a 68 Swing axle Beetle that had started going down "The Samba" road then I realized "Hey, stock sucks". I can and do appreciate a stock resto but I dont want to drive one. Ive lurked around here when it was a .com but never signed up for some reason. Well heres what Im starting with;

Welcome aboard. Now, you can't just tease with one pic and no plans mentioned. Tell/show us more!

Welcome! I'm new (sorta) too. So I'm interested in seeing what your plans are cause I have no idea what I wanna do yet. Looks like a great start, real clean.

More pics? Dear God I dont even want to see that stuff. Just imagine 42 years worth of yuck. Ok for those with no imagination here you go;
My custom door panels

My amazingly plush carpet with custom dead pedal

My awe inspiring handling package

My off road package

49 and 3/4 Horses of raw fury

It looks better now believe me. I guess I will start a build thread. The plan* as of now 4 wheel disc 5X130,Lowered to non 4X4 status,5 speed (future),Some kind of interior (none at the present),Rims, Fenders widened, Needs better handling,(Future IRS conversion,A arm conversion). Still trying to figure out motor options of which I want to build leaning towards a turbo but need it to fit under the deck lid. Open to all ideas and suggestions.

*The use of the word plan neither implies that their is a "plan", means one will be actually followed and or is subject to change at anytime for any reason.
