dellorto 36

Hi, I've bougth 36 dells last summer and I'm in the process of building an engine this winter. Every mecanic I've spoken too regarding instalation of my double carbs say that I'm looking for trouble. That those carbs cannot keep their iddle and that they have a tendancy to frost, even in the summer. Any toughs or remede? Thanks

Thats a lot of crap.
we've driven ours in the 0 to +35 degree celcius with our kads on it. No problems and we still get 27mpg to boot.:agree:
Good linkage is important. And the short intake mainfolds keep the carbs plenty warm. No worries, Dells are an awesome carb. I have a set of 45's for my 2110cc

i bought a set of 36's to go on my 1.8 TIV being built but i've stuck them on my stock 1600

one started popping and backfiring, but good thing my mechanic had a spare 36 lying around, put that on instead for the while...

i never knew my 1600 had that kind of performance in it

they need to be fine tuned however... idling high and such

anyone know what the the reason for my carb acting odd could be?

oh, also, they whistle sometimes...i like the sound but i heard its not good, any insignt?
