Single or double springplates IRS
Is there any advantages the one over the other , when it come to Single or dual spring plates/and the A-arm for these ?
I have both available for fitting(with correct A-arm). |

I don't know if there is any advantage one over the other. I had dual plates on my '70 std but switched them over to the singles to run a heavier (23mm) torsion bar.
Cheers, Dave

Does the 23mm torsion bar come from a Type 3?
or is all single plates 23 mm torsion? |

I believe that the T3 had 23mm bars... Mine are from Sway Away. I orginally was running adjustable spring plates and had to switch to a shorter (earlier) T.B. so upgraded to the 23mm at the same time. If I were you I'd pick the springplate/a-arm combo that is in the best shape and go with it, unless you want to run a heavier T.B.
I hope that I'm helping... Cheers, Dave
