More Newby News

Hey folks!
Im new here and this is my first post here.
I came here about 6 months ago and have been freebie browsing the forums and galleries and all i can say is Wow you guys got some awesome machines! Some i am in total awe of. Im hoping mine will go that route. Its a slow process but it will happen soon.
My car is a 1974 Super Beetle that was originally Sahara Beige (ICK!) so that was repainted some Metallic Blue by a guy i used to work with. I know my name says 73SB but the door sticker says it was made in 11/73 so im going by that birthdate! Not by the "sold by" year.
Im on superbeetlesonly.com as well and all the adivise i read there and here has always been outstanding. Cant thank you people enough.
Next on the list of car upgrades are MAXX struts and some sort of porsche wheels.
Im gonna attach a file here if i can so dont get mad at me if its just an ex... im a newbie remember! ok i tried to upload.. but gave me some odd message ill try later.. that way i can submit it to the gallery.
Thanks again!
-Scott

Welcome to the slippery slope!

Very hard to go back to 'cal lookers' and the like once you start down this path...

Its GREAT fun though, being able to leave most 'moderns' behind on the straights AND the twisties

CYa,
Sam C

Welcome. This is a place were the Supers are at the top of the heap instead of being smack talked about all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love to smack talk with the purist types. I drive a Super(ior) and damn proud of it. As Samcat said, it is a slippery slope and there are some very nice cars owned by the folks here. Lots of cool info so just jump on in.
