tie rod hitting sway bar?

my tie rods are hitting my sway bar on my '79, but only when fully turned right or left. i was told that on a car this late i didn't need the kit to flip my tie rods, but i assume this isn't just something i'm to ignore and live with either.

and yeah, on this side i could rotate the clamp and it'd help, but i did it on the other and it still hits, although not nearly as bad.

my setup: 85.5 brakes f/r, stock vw everything else, old 2" lowered struts (topline?).

any ideas?
