1776cc in the 14's ?!

I know this is a vague question with lotsa variables but can anyone give me an "idea" of what it would take to get a 1776 powered super into the mid - high 14's in the 1/4 ? I was thinking something along the lines c/w crank , stock rods (rebuilt) , engle 130 , 044's 40 x 35.5 port/polish, maybe 9.0:1 comp, balanced,weber/dell 44's/45's,msd ign, 1.5" header or BAS exhaust. I hoping for like 110-120 hp.Any opinions or experience ?

I think you will do fairly well in that department. I do think that the 044s are a brilliant choice, just been comparing mine to a new set of 040s, what a difference. Anyway, what I think will make a good difference would be your exh valve size, try go for a 37.5 instead of a 35. I dont like anything bigger that a 40 inlet in a 90.5 barrel, I think anything bigger is just to shrouded, but many will disagree. Maybe drop the 130 for a web-cam equavelent, or try a 120 with 1.25:1 rockers. Lighten the car. Go for it. The 130 or webcam equavelent might be too hot for street use, but can be used on the street. If you can get 97 octane fuel, fo for 9.5:1 CR. If not, keep it at 9:1. Dont forget the pressure plate and gear box mounts, maybe also superdiff and side cover...
