Hello all,

I'm new here and to engine building. My father built up a strong type 1 motor somewhere around 2100 or 2200cc's I guess, and I'm stuck trying to learn how to maintain/modify it. Please forgive any inacuracy due to confusion I may be posting. I beleave the heads are farther out then stock due to the jugs/pistons being longer, so I am stuck using those adjustable length push rod tubes that thread together. They don't seem like they go out far enough. Oil is leaking out around the case ends, not severley, but bad enough to bother me and leave a puddle wherever I park. Any suggestions, or avenues to avoid? Thanks,

Bob

Would it be ok to use RTV on the Tube Ends or should the ring gaskets be enough?
