Just thought that I would pass on some information.
I have just got my new engine sorted, I was recommended Paul Hamilton at VW Speed Shop www.vwspeedshop.com by someone else.
He won the Volksworld Street Shootout with a road legal car doing the quater in 11 seconds, so he knows what he is talking about regarding engines and transmissions.
Do not think he covers type 4, mainly type 1s.
He can supply various configurations from mild to wild, and also supplies Rancho Transmissions and berg 5 speed for very competeive prices.
He gave excellent advice and his parts are top quality (which he uses him self) and probably cheaper than anywhere else.
He does mail order, and can deliver overseas.
